Our People
Paul Green one of the principal partners in the firm, started an apprenticeship in 1961 at the Government Gardens in Rotorua. In 1964, Paul transferred his apprenticeship to Duncan and Davies Nurseries in New Plymouth to experience the commercial side of Horticulture.
The next six years was spent in this great nursery, first as an apprentice then 9 years as a foreman, at one of the Waitara nursery blocks growing a wide range of open ground grown plants. Paul and wife, Irene, moved to Thames in 1973 and re-opened an abandoned Garden Centre at Totara, South of Thames. In 1980, Paul and Irene purchased a 4-acre block just south of Thames and started AeroView Garden Centre, they then branched into landscaping which fitted in well with the Garden Centre, in 1989 the business was sold and Paul was involved in the building business in varying sectors until 2001. The desire to work outdoors and back in the landscape industry was the start of "ALL GARDEN WORKS" Irene Green has been involved in the plant industry for 45 years, starting at Duncan and Davies when she left school and continuing on to opening Aeroview Garden Centre with Paul. Michael Green (Paul & Irene’s Son) is our Project/Site Manager, he become partners with Paul in All Garden Works in 2001 and with a background in building and construction since 1991. He has a great understanding of all construction and landscaping requirements and is committed to providing a firstclass finish to all work he undertakes. Lisa Stott (is Paul & Irene’s daughter) and is our Nursery, Garden Centre and Garden Maintenance Assistant. Lisa has been with All Garden Works since 2005, and has a great knowledge of plants, spraying, pests and diseases. Paulette Smith (is Paul & Irene’s daughter) and our Office/Accounts Manager since February 2005, she covers all emails and calls to clients, invoicing, creditors, debtors also making sure the boys are kept in line and pays their wages - if they are good! We have a great and enthusiastic team and with our vast experience, skill and knowledge at our customer’s disposal, we proudly offer the following:
